Biographic Information on Dr. Steven M. Mintz
Dr. Steven M. Mintz is a professor of Accounting specializing in ethics at the California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, CA. He previously has taught at Claremont McKenna College and Chapman University. Dr. Mintz was the Dean of the College of Business and Public Administration at California State University, San Bernardino, from 1996-1998.
Dr. Mintz holds a PhD from The George Washington University. He has published two books on accounting ethics and more than 20 research papers on a variety of ethics issues including ethical decision making. He is a frequent speaker on ethics and writes two popular blogs under the name Ethics Sage (http://ethicssage.com) and Workplace Ethics Advice (http://www.workplaceethicsadvice.com/).
Dr. Mintz has written opinion editorials on a variety of ethics issues and is a regular contributor to the Pacific Coast Business Times (http://pacbiztimes.com/2011/09/30/guest-oped-cal-polys-international-business-program-closed-to-detriment-of-students/) . Dr. Mintz has made dozens of presentations to professional and academic groups on the need to create a more ethical organization environment and ethics in financial reporting. He also has developed continuing education courses in ethics for CPAs for more than twenty states.
